Bartending in the Apocalypse is James Brooke, an Illustrator and Bartender in Brooklyn, NY.

James makes editorial comics about bartending, the service industry, nightlife and whatever else people do when they don't want to go home to bed. He does not make superhero comics (though service industry workers are most certainly an unrecognized branch of mental healthcare in America)

He works primarily in pen, ink, acrylic and alcohol based marker. He has designed wine labels, posters, flyer art and two issues of the Bartending in the Apocalypse comic book. His work can also be found in print through Spectre Journal and Brown Paper Napkin.

He is a self-taught illustrator with a BA in English Literature from San Francisco State University.
